How to flush permalinks in WordPress

Refreshing WordPress permalinks is very simple to do and can solve various problems with custom post types like 404 errors.

Post pages of a WordPress custom post type show a 404 error.

Solution

To solve this issue I simply needed to flush (refresh) WordPress permalinks:

In the WordPress admin panel, go to “Settings” » “Permalinks”.
Click the “Save Changes” button.
